Thu 3rd Nov Remember it’s partially due to No one being able to find PS5’s more were created to launch with A poplar sony game I won’t name for I definitely went A little overboard but not accepting other countries products/beliefs is usually not a good sign.Nintendo literally said themselves that the Switch is still in the middle of its lifecycle and they plan to support it longer than the average console lifespan.The Chip shortage is still prevalent and looking at the "declining" sales you mention it's most likely because of issues meeting the demand than lack thereof, it would make no sense to release completely new hardware if Nintendo is struggling to meet the demands of the current one.The Switch is still selling very good 6 years later and games are as well.To this day it still makes no sense for Nintendo to release a new console for the following reasons: It may not be your intention but you and countless other people that use these minor or outright irrelevant examples to justify new hardware existence are arguing in extremely bad faith. Sure the sales are slightly declining but aside from this one example the Switch still has been steadily outselling every unit with the OLED model alone by a significant margin and it's been doing this for years and not just Japan iirc. This is the first time in 2 years that the PS5 has outsold the Switch in Japan to my knowledge and even then it was by an extremely small margin if you count all the switch models. Many people who bought Star Ocean: First Departure R on Switch may want to know what the fuss about The Divine Force is but they won't be able to support the game if it's not on the platform. Porting a game and then leaving that audience dry is not a good thing. The issue with dev today is they don't deliver much but expect massive profit, it won't work that way, I feel Tri-Ace really need to stay with the platforms that it builds. Port Second Evolution, Til the End of Time, and the Last Hope for Switch with new contents and better graphics and performance and the dollar sign will come.
